Key Information

Reading
Please bring your reading books and reading record into school everyday. We will support children when changing their books, please clearly write in reading records if a book is completed at home so we don't change books unnecessarily.

  PE
Tuesday and Thursday- Please ensure your child wears their PE kit to school on these days. All PE lessons will take place outside and unless the weather is really bad, they will continue to happen outside. It is essential that your child brings a fleece and jacket if the weather is cold and wet so that lessons can continue.

Forest School
Thursday- Please ensure your child comes to school wearing suitable clothes for the weather- including wellies and waterproof clothing.

Homework: Will be given out each week. Please return it by the following Monday.

Our Learning

On Safari

Enquiry: How does life in the UK compare to life in Kenya?

Our final topic is: ‘On Safari’ with our enquiry thread being: ‘How does life in the UK compare to life in Kenya?’ In geography, we will be recapping the warmer and colder areas of the Earth, especially life around the equator. In history, we will be sequencing African jewellery from the past and present, before designing and making our own in design and technology. This topic will lead many of our learning opportunities across the curriculum, feeding into our English, art and music. Please see attached topic web that displays our key vocabulary. Our main Science focus will be plants, but we will also revisit much of our previous learning as we recap previously taught areas.
