Uniform

We encourage all children to wear our school uniform with pride, helping to create a strong sense of identity and belonging at Wivelsfield Primary School. Uniform also ensures children are dressed appropriately for school activities and reduces the pressure to follow fashion trends.

Where to Buy

Our official school uniform is supplied by Broadbridges:

However, items do not need to have the school logo on them. Supermarket alternatives in the correct school colours (e.g., Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s) are completely acceptable.

The PTA also sells good quality second-hand uniform at very reasonable prices. Please contact the school office for more details.

If the cost of uniform is a concern, please speak in confidence to the Headteacher or Head of School – we are here to help.

What to Wear

Everyday School Uniform:

  • Grey smart school-style trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore

  • Green and white school-style dress (gingham or stripes – for summer/warmer weather)

  • Plain white shirt (polo shirt, long-sleeved or short-sleeved)

  • Bottle green jumper, sweatshirt or fleece

    • Preferably with the Wivelsfield logo, but plain alternatives are welcome

  • Plain green, white, black, or grey socks or tights

Footwear:

  • Sensible school-style black shoes or plain black trainers

  • Plain black cross-purpose shoes are acceptable

  • Toes must be covered all year round

  • Boots may be worn for outdoor use only

PE Uniform

Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on days when they have PE lessons. As PE uniform is not kept in school, many families opt for plain black trainers or cross-purpose shoes that can be worn on non-PE days as well.

PE Kit includes:

  • Emerald green T-shirt (preferably with school logo, but plain is fine)

  • White shorts

  • Black trainers or cross-purpose shoes

  • School jumper, fleece or sweatshirt

  • Black tracksuit bottoms (for colder weather)

If you have any questions about our uniform policy, or need clarification on acceptable items, please contact the school office or speak with the Headteacher or Head of School.
